DELL, the most popular brand for computers and laptops has recently introduced two new android based mobile phones in India. These two new models of DELL android phones in India are the Dell XCD28 and Dell XCD35. Both these two mobile phones are powered by Android 2.1 OS and has all the latest technical standards in place such as high speed technology like 3G and Wifi, GPS Navigation and large touch screens display. The DELL XCD28 is now available in the market but the second model which is that of the XCD35 is however expected to be rolled out in the month of December of this current year. These two mobile phones are targeted to address the most common needs of the mobile users in India and are also one of the cheapest phones from DELL to be available within its range and having all those features that it has to offer.

We chose to launch the new XCD range of smartphones first in India to offer a complete portfolio of Dell mobile Internet products in all screen sizes”

The DELL XCD28 mobile in India is a 3G enabled smartphone based on the Android 2.1 operating system and is powered by a Qualcomm MSM 7227 600 MHz processor. It operates at a Triband GSM frequency of 900/1800/1900 and also supports the data network of HSDPA 900/2100. In addition to these, the DELL XCD28 sports a 2.8-inch TFT touch resistive screen and has a 3.2 MP camera which captures some crisp quality pictures.

The internal memory of the DELL XCD28 is 250MB having provisions to be expanded to another 16GB by the use of MicroSD cards. Weighing merely 100g and having a dimension of 102 x 55 x 14.5 mm, it also has other regular features of a smartphone some of which are that of Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, A-GPS, etc to name a few of them. It also comes for a one year replacement warranty for any hardware related defects.


The DELL XCD35 mobile in India is an Android 2.1 based mobile phone which sports a very large 3.5-inch capacitive touch screen display that is aimed at providing rich multimedia entertainment. It has a 3.2MP camera and is powered by a 600MHz Processor. It weighs around 130g and has the dimension of 116 x 56.5 x 11.8mm. It supports the 3G network and all other latest technical standards like WiFi, Bluetooth, A-GPS, and other multimedia features.

Apart from these, the best part of the DELL XCD35 in India is that it is accompanied by a one year replacement warranty which ensures complete and instant replacement in case of any hardware failure or malfunctioning which is subject to some other conditions.


The DELL XCD28 mobile price in India is around Rs.10,500 to Rs.11,500 while the price of DELL XCD35 mobile in India is approximately around Rs.17,200. These are only the approximate value and the actual price are subject to vary according many different factors. These mobiles can be purchased directly from the DELL Store or any other leading mobile stores in India. The DELL XCD35 is however likely to be available from December 2010.
