Microsoft Kinect for Xbox 360 has recorded a remarkable achievement as Microsoft announced that its sales figure has mounted to around 1 million units which they sold in a short period of only 10 days. The Kinect sensor which is a revolutionary product to give real entertainment to all the gaming enthusiastic has also attained global acclamation and lot of people seems to be interested in having their first hands on it. With such an achievement in place, Microsoft now seems to target the 5 million mark by the year end. Kinect which provides an unique and a very appealing way to play games on Xbox 360 has thereby been able to meet the satisfaction of all category of people and has turned out to be a great source of entertainment for the entire family who can now simply wave their hands or give a voice command to interact with the game without requiring any controllers.

"We are appreciative of the response we have seen from consumers that has culminated in sales of more than 1 million units in the first 10 days on the market for Kinect for Xbox 360," said Don Mattrick, president of the Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft. "This is a great start to the holiday season, and we will continue to work with our retailer partners to keep pace with high demand and deliver against our plan to sell more than 5 million Kinect sensors worldwide by the end of this year."

So with all this happenings that has once again brought the Microsoft Kinect for Xbox 360 into limelight, Microsoft stands really good to give a very stiff competition to the Nintendo Wii and the PlayStation Move which offers similar features.
