Nokia Beta Labs today rolled out the beta release of the Gig Finder app thereby extending the availability to more countries which was previously limited only to a few. The Nokia Gig Finder app is a useful tool that allows the users to find and locate live music events in their locality or as per their taste of music. Besides simply locating the live musical event, it also allows the user to buy the tickets directly from the app itself. Earlier this app service was available only in countries like USA, Canada, UK & Ireland but today they have announced that it would now be available in more countries like Australia, Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland and Spain.
The Nokia Gig Finder app has the following features which can be used with any of the Symbian^3, S60 5th edition, and S60 3rd Edition FP2 devices.
- It gives recommendation based purely on the music taste and the location that is preferred.
- It gives the convenience of searching live concerts by filtering various options like artist, genre, city, venue and dates.
- It allows to check the prices of tickets and compare the best deals
- It has notification service to inform any new events of a particular artist that you follow.
- It also facilitate the option to link with the OVI music from a particular artist to purchase his songs.
- It now has the feature to invite friends from facebook and also through SMS or email.
- It now includes an artist page which will contain all updates on his upcoming events or music release.
- Finally, you can now manually change the location which was previously automated.
So now with many countries newly added to the list, it will be a great time for all those music lovers to get themselves up-to-date with the latest musical events and also be informed with all latest happenings in the music industry regarding any artist of their preference.
