Samsung has recently launched its most anticipated and talked about product i.e the Galaxy tab, thereby registering its presence in the Android based tablet category among all others available so far. This 7 inch android tablet has some of the most awesome specs and also features many new utilities included therein. The Samsung Galaxy tab, which is powered by a Cortex A8 1.0GHz processor also includes some latest technical standards like that of 3G compatibility, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, HSPA and a 3MP Auto Focus primary camera with also a 1.3MP secondary camera to name a few. The Galaxy Tab in itself is not a mobile but rather a tablet PC which has the capability to deliver the convenience of having a PC-like web browsing experience and dealing with multimedia features and regular tasks like E-mails, voice calls or accessing our favourite social networking site right on the move.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab sports a glossy surface and is relatively light weight and solidly built. The 7 inch multi-touch capacitive touch screen is good enough to be used and responds quite well as is expected. The battery life is also considerable which can last for around seven straight hours for multimedia playback. E-reading on this Galaxy tab is a delight and at par the best in its category. The only downside though is that of the Android OS which simply reflects as if it is stretched to fit the big screen and bears quite a phone like user interface.

All in all, it scores high from all perspectives and is a worthy contender capable of dethroning some of the big names like Apple's iPad. Infact the user experience on this android based tablet is far better than the iPad on many grounds. The price however seems to be a bit high at Rs. 37,800 than what people would have expected and hence the only fact that can bring this to the top positions is its features and stylish form factor which is undoubtedly one among the best.

Will Samsung Galaxy Tab be able to compete the Apple's iPad in terms of popularity? If you have any views, feel free to comment below.
