Sony has finally unveiled the PlayStation Portable 2 (PSP 2) codenamed 'NGP' via one of their official press release today and it came off as a great relief to all anticipating fans of this popular handheld gaming console. This new edition which will be succeeding the well-known Sony PSP is armoured with some latest and up-to-date technical specs and many other new features and support which are all intended to take the overall gaming experience to a whole new dimension of modern and hardcore gaming. Being powered by a quadcore ARM Cortex-A9 processor, the Sony PSP2 also includes a number of added features and extended capabilities as opposed to what was seen to be available with its predecessors and some of the key features of it can be mentioned as that of larger display size, camera, better graphics, dual analog stick, 3G connectivity and loads of other useful utilities which are built-in to this next generation portable gaming system.
The quad core processor included within the specs is also closely followed by the SGX543MP4+ GPU which is also having four cores and both the duo is considered quite powerful to deliver high quality visual output which is even claimed to be one of the best performing entertainment gadget of its kind. The highly configured graphics and processing is well supported by the enhanced user interface which is easy to navigate as well as also quite appealing to be viewed within the organic light emitting display which measures around 5-inch and accordingly provides much wider space for gaming and enjoying various other supported multimedia contents.
The PSP2 or NGP also includes two cameras on both rear and front side which is also considered as a welcomed change thereby extending the capabilities of it to serve with some real all-round entertainment while on the move. Besides this, there are also three included sensors available such as gyroscope, accelerometer and electronic compass and each of these belongs to three-axis sensing. If you are looking for some more features within this handheld console, then you will not be disappointed as the same also carries a GPS system which is duly supported by the location based WiFi service support.
