The much awaited firmware update for the latest Symbian^3 mobile operating system is released and most of the Nokia smartphones based on this version of the OS such as Nokia N8, Nokia C6-01 and Nokia C7-00 would be availing the PR1.1 firmware update. As usual, it brings in more stability in its performance while also fixing many detected bugs so as to improve the overall user experience of handling all the three popular Nokia handsets in the most efficient manner. Few days ago, the Nokia 5230 Firmware v40 was announced which seemed to be the last upgrade for the popular entry level full touchscreen mobile phone and today's release regarding the aforementioned three Symbian^3 based smartphone is a major relief to all those folks who had been anticipating it since many days.
There were some know issues which are now fixed but the majority of the changes being brought around involves improvement in the core framework such that its potential to deliver stable and enhanced performance out of the device is ascertained. This means that the developers will be greatly benefited out of it as various bugs which had been affecting the proper functioning of their apps are now fixed and accordingly they will enjoy more freedom in developing them in the desired manner. Even though this update does not clearly reflect the changes being incorporated to the end-users point of view but the same does include some new features and added apps for making use of within the concerned handsets receiving the upgrade.
For instance, the PR1.1 firmware update of Nokia N8 comes along with an editor version of the Quick Office 6.4 thereby including the possibility to edit and adjusting the view of the various Word documents such as smooth zooming. It is also reported that the said mobiles will come preloaded with some new collection of games such as Need for Speed Shift, Real Golf and Galaxy on Fire along with these new upgraded firmware while games like Asphalt 5 is also expected to be included which will replace the NFS Shift but the same is subject to some specific regions only.
