Bharti Airtel is always known to provide new and innovative features to its mobile subscribers and so far this network in India has turned out to be a big brand with lots of users opting for their services. They not only offer affordable tariff plans but also facilitates good network coverage and a wide range of useful features and services. Recently, Airtel has rolled out a new service with close collaboration with Nuance Communications so as to facilitate a speech recognition based content selection system which would allow people to use their various offers by simply dialing a single number as opposed to dialing different numbers for different contents.

This new service which is based on Speech Recognition system by Nuance Communication is being promoted as 'One Number, One Voice' and can be availed from any Airtel mobile number by simply dialing the number 54321. The system built-in can recognize as well as distinguish the caller and thereby determine whether they are first time users or have called before and accordingly present a very customized calling experience.

In case of first time callers, the service would allow more detailed instructions and approach while using any content such as hello tune services, scores or news, radio and jokes etc. but when the same is being accessed by a regular caller, the approach would be fast forward and will be handled in a least number of steps.

Currently this feature which can be used from an Airtel mobile number will be made available only in some of the selected places such as Chennai, Chandigarh, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh. A per minute cost of around Rs.2 is fixed for availing the speech recognition based service and is intended to enhance the experience of searching and discovering content by making a broad range of various services offered by them to be available in a fast and intuitive manner.
