Like most other Nokia handset, this Business Communicator handset also offers the Over-the-Air method of Software updating and can be accessed from the Device Updates by dialing the key combination *#0000# and then selecting the Options menu to check for any available updates. Alternatively, Nokia also includes a SW Update application within the mobile handset which can be used to check and download all kinds of updates available for the phone software and apps. One can also make use of the Nokia Software Updater(NSU) to download the update from a computer if there is any problem in data connectivity within the mobile phone.
Since the update is newly released, it may take some amount of time or few more days to show up in the list of available updates for some of the regions as Nokia will eventually make it available one by one to cover all other places. Being a minor update, there will not be any specific changes visible to the user and no new apps and features are included therein.
However, a major PR 2.0 firmware update is still being expected by all the Symbian^3 users and owners of Nokia E7 handset can also be counted in this regard.
