YouTube has recently brought around many changes in its feature support and has made available some new navigation enhancement also including an Android based app tool. Apart from the inclusion of a feature category called Topics, YouTube has launched an Android app called "YouTube Remote" which turns your mobile phone into a very useful remote control capable of using it with a PC or Google TV using the android powered mobile handset. It lets users to look for various YouTube video contents on their mobile handset and then play it back on a different device using it. All basic functionalities of any video controls like play, pause, rewind or controlling the volume are well supported with this remote app that is now available in the Android market. It would also allow one to play any video on the android phone which when paused can be resumed from exactly where it was interrupted within any paired device.
To make the remote app to work with any other device it must be paired. It requires the user to get connected with their Google account and after doing so, whenever any video is played on the mobile and at the same time an YouTube app(Leanback) is launched in either a PC or the Google TV, it'll automatically pair them so that the streaming of the video contents can be done with the larger screen. The YouTube Remote app which went live on the Android market can be used to handle all playback controls without requiring any traditional TV remotes that is accompanied with Google TV and can be used seamlessly to stream same YouTube videos on multiple screens without any problem. Currently the YouTube Remote Android App is only available for the US based users and can be downloaded for free from the Android market or by scanning the QR code included here.
