The wait for Nintendo 3DS is finally over as it is now officially announced to be rolled out from the 27th day of March, 2011 and the same has been quoted in one of their latest press release today. This is an important update for many gaming enthusiastic as well as Nintendo fans as most of them have been waiting eagerly to play their hands over this most popular handheld consoles. This new model boasts two screens and the most featured item in it is the upper display screen which is said to be supporting 3D technology without essentially requiring the user to wear any glasses to enjoy the effects.

There are actually many existent features which you can avail with this gaming system and hence it offers a lot of convenience too as it also extends the support for backward compatibility. This means that you can play almost any kind of the prevailing Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi games in this 3DS version but the former two category will be only able to render in 2D mode. The expandable memory support includes a 2GB SD Memory which can be used to store various stuffs such as downloaded games or captured images from the Nintendo 3DS camera while it also allows music contents to be stored in the memory card but the decisive fact is that those audio contents must be in either MP3 or AAC music formats.
