Crysis 2 is one of the popular and most anticipated first-person shooter game which is all set to release on the 22nd Day of March, 2011. This upcoming game which is being introduced by Electronic Arts and developed by the German video game company named Crytek has got some similar system requirements as that of the previous version of the game that was released back in the year 2007 but in a different sense. The minimum system requirements which was recently revealed for the Crysis 2 game is observed to be quite identical to the recommended requirements of the original Crysis game and this is what makes all the difference which indicates the need to have some more than average configured machines so as to enjoy it to the fullest.

For all those who played the original version of the game and enjoyed it would definitely look forward to install and play the sequel part too. But as already mentioned above, you may require a small upgrade to your system if you are already using the same configuration of your computer which was used to play the first part so as to make it eligible to run the same in the way it is meant to i.e. play the game with all the high resolution textures and graphical effects.

So, here are the requirements which are suggested to be available at minimum to install and play the game with some relatively average quality graphics and game effects:-

  • Operating System: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7
  • Processor: 2GHz Intel Core2Duo, 2GHz AMD Athlon 64 X2 (or higher)
  • Memory: 2GB RAM
  • Graphics Card: 256MB (Nvidia 8800 GT, ATI Radeon HD 3850) or higher.
  • Storage Space: 9GB Free HDD Space
  • Audio: DirectX 9.0c Compatibility
  • Optical Drive: DVD ROM 8x
  • Input Device: Keyboard, Mouse, Game Controllers

However, the above list only reflects the minimum required configuration of the system and the recommended system requirements of Crysis 2 demands some more upgraded specs. Some of these may be mentioned as 2.2GHz Intel Core2Duo and 2.2GHz Athlon X2 4400 CPU, 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS/640 or similar GPU and 12GB of free Hard Disk Drive space. The integrated chipsets are however not supported and the same is the case for laptop chipsets too.

This FPS game has some good graphics and better game-play that is expected to satisfy all the gaming enthusiast who are waiting to try their hands on this final release which is due to be rolled out in the month of March 2011. Although there are some changes being implemented on the recommended configuration of the machine which is asked for with respect to what was concened with the original release, it is however considerable looking at the high-end graphics and latest CryEngine and the fact that it did not turn towards any Core i7 type of processors is indeed a matter of relief for all those folks who are still trying to adjust their games with built of system that they are using. Moreover, it also doesn't make much sense if one has to upgrade his system frequently to play each new game that is released and the requirements of Crysis 2 is considerable to some extent in this regard.
