As technology progresses and innovations are being registered, we get the opportunity to try out new gadgets and electronic items which always astound us with new standards and features that they offer with every new release. The latest trend of mobile mania and console gaming are a few to mention which has appealed and appeased a lot of the folks and enthusiastic users. So with all this happenings in the entertainment zone, Sony now seemed to be making up their mind to blow out the minds of the people by offering one of their upcoming product which claims to include the power and capability of both a gaming console and a smartphone.

Sony, which has so far released a number of advanced smart phones and PlayStation consoles are believed to be developing a new gadget that bears the codename to be called as 'PlayStation Phone' or 'Zeus'. This new PlayStation phone is believed to include a sliding gaming pad similar to the one seen in their PlayStation Go consoles and will also be equipped with the capability to support various popular games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Some of the leaked photos of the PlayStation Phone suggests that it would bear an appearance resembling much closer to that of the Sony Ericsson's Vivaz Pro which would be having a sliding game pad with all the traditional gaming keys as available in PlayStation consoles.
Well, this is the question of the hour as to how far the news of this gadget is gonna be true. There have been many reports regarding the prototype of the PlayStation Phone which Sony has prepared and planned to release towards the year end. But what still perplex the tech-savvy geeks is that there is still no official announcement on the progress or possibility of any such device. While many sources have published different leaked photos, however any official announcement is yet to be published and made available. Engadget, which first brought the story under the limelight has recently quoted that the they have some very convincing reports from trusted sources regarding the whereabouts of the Project 'Play Station Phone' which they say is been made under the codename 'Zeus'. However, as all the technology arena is filled with various reports of the PlayStation Phone and different stories or rumors , it would be worth the wait to hear any real announcement by the Sony Team which has so far maintained their secrecy over the reported project.
There is no confirmed reports so far regarding the actual specifications which PlayStation Phone would feature but there are some hints that it would be one of the candidate of the Android category which would be running either an Android 2.3 (or may be even 3.0). Some of the other specs that have been circulated through various tech-magazines suggests the following features and specifications of the PlayStation Phone:-
- 1GHz Qualcomm CPU
- 512 MB of RAM
- 1GB ROM
- MicroSD card slot
- Screen size between 3.7" and 4.1"

Well, as I've already mentioned above that the esteemed project is still under the clouds and there is no official announcement as such. The first reporter of this device i.e. "Engadget" has revealed that it would be something near the year-end and hence we cannot really predict the release date of PlayStation Phone with these unconfirmed reports that are so far available for review. Even if there is any information regarding the availability of the said device in the market, it would be a difficult task to tag the PlayStation Phone price as the same is definitely going to be highly acclaimed product if the same is made available. Therefore, with all the so-called rumors and community reports, what we can do is simply wait for any decisive hint from the Sony Team and be aware of whether the reports of Sony PlayStation Phone is real or fake.
