The Asus Eee Note EA800, which was earlier known as Eee Tablet or Eee Pads has now got a new name with a lot of specification details and device images which are officially revealed. This new device would have a 8-inch monochrome display with a resolution of 768 x 1024 pixels and is intended to be an e-reader for taking notes but also comes with a lot of other features and built-in utilities. For the convenience of using the touchscreen device, it comes with a Wacom digital stylus which takes its place on the top of the Eee Note when it is not required to be used.

As for the specifications which was just revealed, the Eee Note has a 2 MegaPixel camera built into the back of the device. It also includes the high speed technologies like Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g and has an internal memory capacity amounting to 4GB of storage. It can be further expanded using external memory card through its microSD card slot. There is a microUSB connectivity port along with a 3.5mm headphone jack, an integrated microphone and a speaker.

The Asus Eee Note EA800 uses a 3700 mAh battery which can provide a battery life of 15 hours while keeping the Wi-Fi status off and around 10 straight hours while it is active. The standby time is said to last for 240 hours or 10 days at maximum. It measures a dimension of 139 x 222.4 x 11 mm which weighs about 519g. The list of format support which was announced as of now are the PDF, ePUB, JPEG/BMP/GIF/PNG, TXT, DOC/DOCX, XLS/SXLSX,PPT/PPTX and MP3 formats.
