Western Digital has announced its launch of the WD TV Live Hub in India and will be available towards the year end of 2010. It is a third generation media center which helps to bring all you digital life to the big screen. It lets you to watch all your favourite and popular movies and TV programmes instantly and also provides access to most online contents like YouTube, MTV, ESPN etc. via its online streaming service subject to availability and compatibility depending on various areas. It can support full HD 1080p and is accompanied by a network hard drive carrying a storage capacity of around one terabyte.


The WD TV Live Hub media center has an integration with the social sites like Facebook and will allow one to stay connected through it and upload photos and videos, feed their status and also get informed of all the latest happenings among their friends through their Facebook Wall. Not only this, it can provides access to most of the online contents like news, on-demand movies, weather forecast and other important services. It is compatible with almost all television sets which has DLNA/UPnP and can also be used with other devices like Blu-ray player, gaming consoles like Xbox and PlayStation and also modern android powered smartphones by use of customized third party apps.
