Samsung has announced that the most awaited Galaxy S II smartphone would be rolled-out in the UK market on 1st May, 2011. This announcement was made by Simon Stanford who is the Managing Director of Samsung Mobile in UK who stated that the launch of this phone is a response to all the buzz and excitement prevailing among the folks about this mobile handset and that he is pleased to announce its launch date. He further added that the said handset is one of the fastest, slimmest and lightest device which would also be featuring the new screen technology known as Super AMOLED Plus.
The Galaxy S II is one of the most advanced smartphone which shares some heavy technical specifications and up-to-date mobile features expected by users now-a-days. It is an android phone which is using the Gingerbread (v2.3) edition of the mobile operating system and as usual it comes preloaded with the TouchWiz UI. It boasts a highly capable 8 Megapixels camera that can capture great quality images and also record videos at Full HD having 1080p quality and 30 fps frame rate. It also has an LED flash for using the camera on low light condition as well as an autofocus feature built into it. If you want to use the video calling feature, there is one front facing 2 Megapixels camera too which can even be effectively used for self portrait photo capture.
The connectivity features are impressive again and you will find high-speed Bluetooth 3.0 support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, HSPA+, DLNA and A-GPS navigational features.
